“For fun, I'm the youngest of four siblings. I enjoy spending time with my siblings and my family. We like to travel. I like to watch theater, and I like to write.”

Being the youngest of four means Van grew up with a built-in audience — and a built-in crew of co-conspirators. Family trips are equal parts adventure and material: new cities, new accents, and the people-watching that every actor secretly lives for.

When he's not on stage, he's usually watching one — pulling apart what made a scene land or how a single choice changed the room. The rest of the time, he's writing. Notebooks fill up faster than they should.
